Plain-language explanation of what the app does with your data. Short version: it stores nothing on our servers, ever.

Summary

CADS BD Intelligence is a thin client over your team's existing Google Sheet. We do not run a server. We do not have a database. We do not see, store, log, or transmit your organization data — it lives entirely in your Google Sheet and on your device.

Data we collect

None. We collect zero personal data, zero usage analytics, zero crash reports, and zero device identifiers. The app makes no network calls to any server operated by us.

Where your data lives

  • Organization records, notes, contacts: stored in the Google Sheet you configure in the app. Access is governed by the sharing permissions you set on that sheet inside Google Drive. We never see the contents of your sheet.
  • Sign-in: handled directly by Google via OAuth. We never see your Google password. The app receives a temporary access token that lets it read and write only the sheet you authorized — nothing else in your Google account.
  • Business card images: when you scan a card, the image is sent directly from your device to Anthropic's Claude API using your own API key, which you provide. The image is not stored on your device after extraction (beyond the temporary file picked up from the camera) and never touches any server we run.
  • API keys and settings: your Anthropic API key and Sheet ID are stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard preferences storage. They never leave your device except as part of an API call to the service they're for (Anthropic, in the case of the API key).

Permissions we request

  • Camera: used only when you tap "Scan card" to take a photo of a business card. The photo is sent to Anthropic for OCR using your own API key, then discarded.
  • Photo library: used only if you choose to pick a card image from your library instead of taking a fresh photo.

The app does not request location, contacts, microphone, calendar, health, or any other system permission.

Third-party services we use

The app uses two third parties, both at your direction and authorized by you:

  • Google — for sign-in and reading/writing your Google Sheet. Governed by Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Anthropic — for AI-powered business card OCR and trip summary generation, but only if you configure an API key. Governed by Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

Tracking and analytics

None. No Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Sentry, no Crashlytics, no advertising SDKs. The app has no telemetry of any kind.

Children's privacy

The app is a professional business-development tool and is not directed at, marketed to, or intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Because we don't store your data, there's nothing on our end to retain or delete. To remove organization data, delete the row from your Google Sheet (or use the in-app delete button). To remove your locally-stored API key, sign out of the app or uninstall it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how the app handles data, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. For substantial changes, we'll also note them in the next app release notes.
